Music

Music ensembles - funding for ensembles who want to create and play music at a high level.

Church music - funding for projects which increase cooperation between the various church music environments and projects involving music environments and arenas outside the church. 

Commissioned compositions - funding for organisations, institutions and ensembles who wish to apply for various commissioned compositions, orchestral music and dramatic works. Composers can also apply for support.

Recording support phonogram - funding for recording of music in three specific areas: children and youth, newly composed musical or works which are important in a cultural-historical aspect, and recordings documenting performing traditions in Norway.


Theatre

Performing arts - funding for single productions held outside the permanent institutions or several productions for a limited period up to a maximum of four years. Artistic justification will be required.

Performing arts and new technology - funding for development of new scenic expressions created with the help of new technology or projects that combine performing arts with new technology.

Guest plays - funding for pre-produced performances of free groups and institutions, which will be presented in a location outside its own theatre/arena and outside the normal tour operation. 

Historical plays/outdoor plays - funding for measures that will increase the artistic quality of local and regional historical plays and outdoor plays. Funding for i.e. manuscripts, synopsis and choreography.

Dance / choreography

Dance - funding for professional choreographers and dancers, productions, producers and professional units within dance, that initiate projects together with professional artists. 

Performing arts - funding for single productions outside the permanent institutions or to several productions for a fixed period, up to a maximum of four years. The project(s) must be artistically justified.

Development of choreography:  - funding for choreographers who wish to further develop a project on their own. The choreographer has to apply.  

Performing arts and new technology:  - funding for development of new scenic expressions created with the help of new technology, or projects that combine performing arts with new technology.

Synopsis

Development of stage text - funding for authors who want to further develop an idea or a project to a dramatic work or a synopsis. The author has to apply.

Opera

Commissioned compositions - funding for organisations, institutions and ensembles who wish to apply for various commissioned compositions, orchestral music and dramatic works. Composers may also apply for development support.

Visual arts / Crafts / Photography

Project support - visual arts: - funding for exhibitions, experiments with new design, publication of art literature, artists' books, exhibition catalogues and other special projects.

Support for joint workshops: - funding for the acquisition of joint production equipment for visual artists, craftsmen and photographers. The joint workshop must be registered as owner of the equipment.

Cultural change and contemporary art: - funding for various art projects  that contribute to reflection about contemporary art with focus on globalization and cultural diversity.

Art and new technology: - funding for original, new artistic expressions created by/with the help of new technology, especially projects that combines different art fields. Support can also be granted to projects relating to intermediation.

Exhibition support for artists in the establishing phase: - funding for artists or groups of artists that exhibit for the first time, or are in an early stage of their career.

Development of manuscript - visual arts - funding for development of scripts that present and analyse current professional issues in recent art and - art theory.
